As our children progress through the school, they tend to have increasing access to technology.  Educating the children in how to access and use this technology safely is very important.  Here you will find lots of information as to how to help keep your children safe online.

Parental Controls

Another way to help keep children safe online is to set up appropriate parental controls - you do not need to be particularly tech savvy to set these up. There are a variety of parental controls that can be set e.g. that children and young people cannot download an app, be added to a group chat, add a contact or access websites that are not pre-approved without the parent approving it from their device. Boundaries can be set so smartphones have limited functionality during school hours and after a set time at night – unless the parent approves otherwise.
