About Our School

Welcome to Tarves Primary School and Nursery.

Tarves School is situated in the village of Tarves, seven miles from Ellon and eighteen miles from Aberdeen.  The catchment area includes the village of Tarves and the surrounding rural area.  We are part of the Meldrum Schools Cluster and our children transfer to Meldrum Academy for their secondary education.

At the time of writing, our school roll is 167 pupils in Primary and 19 pupils in Nursery.  We currently have 7 Primary classes. 

As well as our playground complete with timber play equipment and an outdoor classroom, we are lucky to have access to the All Weather Court and Sports Field out the back of the school.  

The school enjoys the support of a very proactive Parent Council and meetings are held regularly.
